Q. How do I register with Oregon Swimming and United States Swimming?
A. Fill out the year round athlete, seasonal athlete or non-athlete registration form and return it to your local club or Oregon Swimming. Always consult your coach for registration questions. Please note that seasonal swimmers may not compete at Sectionals, Zones and Nationals.

Q. Who must register?
A. All swimmers, officials, meet directors, coaches and club and OSI board members must register with USA Swimming. Swimmers must register before their first practice.

Q. How do I join a swim club ?
A. Oregon Swimming has many registered swim clubs. To find one near you, use our search tool.

Q. Do I have to be a member of a team or club?
A. Not all members of Oregon Swimming and United States Swimming are associated with a team. Unattached swimmers are those swimmers have either recently transferred to a new team or are swimming with no club affiliation at all.

Q. How do I become an uattached swimmer?
A. If you were a member of a club, contact Oregon Swimming. New swimmers should mail in an athlete registration form and enter UN for the club.

Q. Why do I have to swim unattached after transferring to a new club?
A. To prevent a team from recruiting swimmers to compete a swim meet, USA Swimming implemented a rule that all swimmers must swim unattached for 120 days after the conclusion of the last swim meet.
